What are the health benefits of massage?

There are many health benefits to massage. Massage will reduce or even eliminate the aches and pains from sore, tense muscles. Regular massage can also reduce stress, lower blood pressure, boost immunity, and increase both circulation and flexibility.

Most importantly, massage will increase your body awareness thus enabling you to be more present and comfortable in your body.

Will my massage hurt?

We like to help you to make the distinction between "good pain" and "bad pain". Working the deeper layers of tight muscles might hurt a bit at first, but as you feel the tension releasing you will be aware that this is what we consider "good pain", as opposed to "bad pain" which is simply uncomfortable and coupled with no discernible benefits.

Do I have to get undressed?

For those of you less familiar with massage we recommend that you undress to the point with which you are most comfortable. Please be aware that you are never full exposed. A towel will be covering the parts of your body that are not being worked on.

There are many different types of massage. How do I know which one is best for me?

While there are several different modalities, there is also much overlapping of techniques. The combination massage is a great place to start so that you can experience a sampling of these techniques. We encourage you to feel free to let us know what you need. Ask questions. We are here to make you feel better.

Can I choose between a male and female therapist?

Yes, by all means. Please let us know if you have a preference.
